INTRODUCING FLIGHTS OF FANCY!

I'm so eager to finally introduce my Flights of Fancy fabrics. You remember that I had the pleasure of relaxing in Hawaii for one glorious month last year. I carried a sketchbook and camera everywhere I went. The breathtaking beauty of the ocean, sunsets, the asian and polynesian influences, birds, butterflies...I could go on and on, but instead I infused my experiences into these 41 colorful fabrics.

Here is the entire collection in all 4 colorways:

This is the Spring colorway based on the many fragrant flowers:

This is the Ocean colorway, inspired by my mornings on a private beach collecting the aqua, green, brown and frosted white beach glass:

The Summer colorway:

The Sunset colorway:

My sincere hope is that my Flights of Fancy will invoke joy and happiness into everything you create with them.

FLIGHTS OF FANCY GIVE-AWAY

I trust those of us celebrating Thanksgiving had something to be hugely thankful for this year. My heart is full, as well as a few other parts.

Now that all the dishes are cleaned and put away, leftovers are stacked in the fridge and my TV says everyone else is out shopping today, I think it's a perfect time to sit down with my blog friends and tell you how thankful I am. Proof? I want to have a giveaway. Sew Mama Sew is hosting a Give-Away on December 3 and I'm jumping in on the fun. Check it out here.

I am giving a set of four (4) fat quarters from my Flights of Fancy in the Ocean colorway and a set of 8 matching notecards. Between now and December 3rd @ 10:00 pm Eastern time, just leave a post about what project/gift you envision making with these Flights of Fancy fabrics. I will look for creativity and post a winner by 10:30 PM that eve. Keep in mind that these fabrics are hot off the press so you might have to do a bit of impressing. Seriously, I am so pleased to be a part of this Give-Away and just want to hear from everyone. Since I have many emails and requests outside the states, I welcome anyone outside the US to participate. Here's a quick shot of what can be yours very soon!

With that said, I know that JCaroline Creative and Tennessee Quilts (thanks Shari) both have the full line of FoF in stock. I would so appreciate any other sightings since I keep getting requests.

Before I head off to the fridge to pull out the leftovers, I want to thank everyone for the Tooth Fairy education. I absolutely love the silver dollar or unusual coin aspect. I have yet to share my own childhood, but suffice it to say; no tooth fairy, no Easter bunny and hardly a Santa in sight. I am truly curious. I think my own kids somehow worked the system, and I still don't know the rules. Whaat?

TOOTHLESS AND TARDY TODAY

WYATT AND HIS FRIEND MIA: TOOTHLESS IN INDIANA

Aren't they so cute? Losing that first tooth is a major event, isn't it? Even better when shared with good friends. Which brings me to a burning question. How come the Tooth Fairy doesn't have a set price per tooth? I'm just curious, and surely I can't be the only one. What is the going rate these days? I'm hearing anywhere from $2-$20. You heard me.

Speaking of the Tooth Fairy, what has happened to Thrift Shops? Not so thrifty where I live, but my friend Caroline over at JCaroline Creative flaunts her thrift bargains here (her $3 chair that had $1.40 in change under the cushion) or here ($15 Queen Anne sofa)... So yesterday afternoon I tried 2 different Goodwill stores nearby hoping for a great deal to maybe use with my new fabrics. I immediately spotted an armless chair that would have made Caroline drool. $60. Yup, I know. It was in good condition, but still! Instead I walked away with these 2 cups and saucers for $2.00 total. I needed them like a hole in the head (eww!) but I loved the pattern and didn't want to leave empty handed (or broke if I had bought that cute chair).

Now onto why I've been a Tardy blogger. In my own defense, I was shocked to realize I haven't blogged at all this month. Reason, you ask? I have a rather good one, actually. No I didn't break another arm, thank goodness. I am designing away on my next fabric collection. How's that for a good excuse? I do many of my drawings and artwork from scratch and am learning to redraw on my fairly new Wacom that I got before I broke my arm. We are also learning to use a Mac. So time sure flies by when you're buried in designs. I do so miss blogging and hearing from you all, so I have an idea on how to get us all back together again.

PAULA'S GREAT GIVEAWAY...COMING SOON!

So keep your eyes and ears on the lookout. I am so thankful to all of you. You'll see.

Also, people have been emailing and asking when my fabrics will be available. Will you please let me know of any Flights of Fancy fabric sightings? I know a store right here in Carmel IN, Quilt Quarters has received the whole line (41 bolts!).
JCaroline Creative says she just received my fabrics today and they should be up on her site soon.
Fabric Supplies has a few up right now.
I hear there are more, so please keep me posted so I can post it, ha, ha. Okay, I'm headed back to the drawing board, and planning my GIVEAWAY. xoxoxo
