Or maybe a handbag like these from Dani Bags Boutique?
Or maybe a handbag like these from Dani Bags Boutique?
Oh, the list can go on and on. These lovely designers emailed me their creations and it gives me such pleasure to see all the each quilt, skirt, bedding.... There must be so many more goodies out there, I'm sure.
So in honor of my 100th post on SHOW + TELL I thought I'd provide some fabrics to help with the inspiration process. I will be giving a yard each of these three Flights of Fancy fabrics, and will throw in a square (3x3 image opening) photo frame from my Paula Prass Collection.
Leave a comment on what you might make. And please, if you already have completed projects, post a comment on what you made and add your creations to my Flickr Flights of Fancy Group.
I will leave this contest open for a week, so you have enough time to either finish up a project or consider what you'd like to make. May the creative juices flow! Feast your eyes on these spring color combos:

SPRING 100 POST GIVEAWAY
I have no idea what I would make if I win. But I'm sure it will be lovely! LOL
ReplyDeleteOoh, I just ordered some Flights of Fancy Fat Quarters (whew - that's a tongue twister!)... honestly not sure what I'm going to do with them yet, they're just pretty to look at for the moment. :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter needs new spring dresses - these colors are perfect for spring! I'd love to make her a cute little dress, and if I had enouh left over, a cute matching dress for her sidekick (her little doll that goes with her wherever she goes). Thanks for the chance to win!

ReplyDeleteluv2knit@roadrunner.com
I would definitely make a dress for my daughter. I'd love to make something like those beautiful dresses from your post. I love your fabric!
ReplyDeleteSkirts! Lots of skirts for my daughter to welcome hopefully the soon arrival of spring!
ReplyDeleteI would love to make a dress for my daughters with your fabrics. I recently found a pattern I want to make their Easter dresses with and your fabric would complete the look!
ReplyDeleteI would love to make a dress for my daughter. I'm new to the sewing world so I would LOVE to add these wonderful fabrics to my little stash! valerieann118@att.net
ReplyDeleteI'm very much into quilts right now so I would probably do that although I've been wanting to make a purse so... One of those two definitely!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that top dress, but you know, I think I would like to take on a summer tunic. I'm thinking sleevless and slightly fitted. Hmmm. I may have to go home and see what I can come up with now. I especially love the butterfly fabric.
ReplyDeleteThat might be cute for aprons for my nieces. I have been meaning to make them some.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter's room is a butterfly theme, and I have been wanting to make her some fabric storage containers to hold books and toys. The plastic bins on her shelf just don't have the same appeal to me as looking at beautiful fabric like this everytime I walk in to her room. This fabric would be perfect for the project!
ReplyDeletemillkara@gmail.com
Hi Paula! What a wonderful giveaway, and congratulations on your 100th post!
ReplyDeleteLet's see, I would either make summer dress for myself, or quilt a new picnic blanket (one with little pockets at the corners underneath for rocks to weigh the corners down). I've also been thinking about making a new tote and I think your fabric would be perfect.
Hope you are having a wonderful day!
OH! I've been eyeing your beautiful fabric to make my daughter a dress! Maybe the Oliver + S bubble dress--she would just adore it in your butterfly fabric and I'd love working with it! I'd be super excited to win!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely make something for my friend's daughter. Maybe an apron?
ReplyDeleteikkinlala AT yahoo DOT ca
I love these colors! I would make a birdie sling. I need one in new bright spring colors!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been dying to make myself a gorgeous apron - I love to cook and bake and could totally use a gorgeous apron to do it all in. I would love to do something like this (http://www.marthastewart.com/article/bakers-apron), maybe with a couple of complimentary fabrics. These fabrics look like just the inspiration I need to get started!!!
ReplyDeleteCynthia
cabaute [at] gmail [dot] com
Oh my!! All of those would be wonderful choices, but I think I'd have to make a tote, some headbands and maybe a book cover or two. Things I could use everyday and enjoy those beautiful pops of color!!
ReplyDeletePurses, and pouches, and pillows, and banners... or maybe a little baby quilt, since some of my friends are "trying" to get pregnant... If they keep trying, one of them is bound to make it!! :-D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway! :-)

ReplyDeleteHere is my creation:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=20906246
I adore all of the fabrics in this line (which is a feat I must say)
I can think of loads of clothes that I'd happily make with some more of this fabric line!

I have committed to making an apron for a charity auction and these would make such a classy apron! With the leftovers I could whip up my sweet granddaughter a little skirt or top! Love your work and congrats on the 100th post.
ReplyDeleteMy first pieces of Flights of Fancy just arrived today and they are so pretty! If I was fortunate enough to win your giveaway I would probably make a tote for spring, possibly a skirt for my daughter, not exactly sure. What I am sure of is that the three 1/2 yards that I just received definitely will not be enough!! Thanks for the chance to win some of your beautiful fabric.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Those fabrics are beautiful! If I won, I would want to make at least one skirt. Maybe two since I am really into skirts right now. And definitely some kind of bag/purse because I need as many bags as I can get. Probably something to hold my makeup in too. Oh man I am running out of fabric! I love these so much! Here's hoping....
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI have 3 little girls I can make matching twirly skirts using the 3 coordinating fabrics and for my 6 yr old son I can use the green coordinating fab for a tie for him (he certainly wouldn't want a skirt and pink's not his color, LOL!) It would all look cute for an Easter pic I can put into the frame!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 100th post!
ReplyDeleteOh the ideas are flowing in my head now. I would make my daughter an adorable a line patchwork top using the fat quaters and material with a pair of little capri pants. I would also probably add a little cloth headband and macthing bag for her too.
Oh the wonderful things i could do with that. How fun!
My daughter needs new skirts, dresses and of course matching bags, headbands, hats, etc.
ReplyDeleteSo that is what I would make with the fabric.
Hope I win!
Great spring prints! I'd probably make matching skirts for myself and my daughter. Or a yoga bag or knitting bag...
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely make my little girl a dress with those cute fabrics.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 100th!
I'm thinking a bag...or maybe some decorative storage containers for my studio?
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm big into bags right now! Or an apron or two... either way, I'd save some for some quilts!!!
ReplyDeleteI would make matching outfits for my 22 month old and 5 month old daughters. I could fly forever with the compliments given my babes.
ReplyDeleteI would make some coordinated items for my sewing area--sewing machine cover, pincushion, fabric baskets!
ReplyDeleteSince I don't have any girls to sew for and I'm really into quilts right now. I would probably make a quilt or pillow out of it. Who knows I might even come up with something way more original:)
ReplyDeleteas boring as it might sound - I would make pillows. I have an all black couch that needs some pillows. my sewing machine is still broken, but I can hand sew :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the green and white fabric.
Oh, my goodness--such lovely fabrics, so many possibilities, but so little time in which to make those possibilities reality! My daughter would take precedence over anything else...I'd let her choose what she would want Mommy (me) to make! She'd probably either want a dress or a quilt... :^D
ReplyDeleteI just love those prints. I made my granddaughters aprons for Christmas and they would love me to make more of them. These prints would be just perfect. So bright and cheery. Love the outfits as well. Good luck on this contest everyone.

ReplyDeleteI just started my own blog (http://www.NikkiInStitches.wordpress.com) and have had a lot of requests for quilting tutorials. I intend to do a block of the month, highlighting fabrics and fabric designers who's blogs I follow, and I would love to include you!

ReplyDeleteThe ideas are endless indeed! Let's see...I need a new zippered pouch, a cozy for my IPod Touch, a business card holder, a wallet, a pencil case...
ReplyDeleteI'm almost done with a baby quilt using your fabrics... I think I would start a baby girl themed one. I LOVE them.
ReplyDeleteI would totally make something for my new baby girl due in august!
ReplyDeleteI might make twirl skirts for my girls! They would be so cute for spring...then again, this fabric would make a gorgeous quilt! Maybe I'd have to make em both!:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Natalie
earnhearts(at)gmail(dot)com

ReplyDeleteI would make dresses for my daughter or a springtime tunic for myself.
ReplyDeleteI have a special project I call, "from the heart". I sew infant and maternity items which I donate, 100%, to an outreach program here in Tucson, Arizona, that seeks to help mothers-in-need at the Arizona-Mexico border. Many babies here go home from the hospital wrapped in newspaper because their parents cannot even afford receiving blankets or newborn clothes.
ReplyDeleteSo what would I make with these gorgeous, uplifting fabrics? I'd make some infant bonnets to help keep the strong summer sun out of the babies' eyes with some glorious infant tops to match! Babies clothes don't need to be made in boring pastels. Vibrant colors and patterns stimulate their minds and make everyone around them feel happy! These fabric selections would certainly accomplish those goals!
i would love to make that awesome tote!! =0
