Between lots of yardwork and keeping the grandkids for several days I managed to hurt my back. Ended up down and a bit drugged out for a few days (fortunately AFTER the kids were gone). Feeling much better now, thank you!
So while I was resting (and drooling, sorry!) I hopped on my Flights of Fancy Flickr group and found many more lovelies. Thought I'd share a few here:

Another gorgeous handbag by Gardenhouse.....
A delightful peasant dress by Travelin Light Designs.......
And a Springtime jumper by iveyc95.......
On another note, Kay Whitt sent me a couple better photos of things she made out of my fabrics. First, A closeup of her wonderful trench coat pattern using the new laminated Spring Flights of Fancy for Michael Miller.
Then she made this awesome handbag using my new Summer Soiree in the Manhattan colorway. Go check out all Kay's patterns over at Sew Serendipity.

Speaking of patterns, as a new fabric designer with 2 Quilt Markets under my belt now, I have been amazed at how many people seem at least, if not more interested in the outfits, bedding, pillows and handbags. I'm just sayin I have two fabric collections now, isn't that enough? Apparently not. So, I am actually at the drawing board and planning some upcoming patterns. I actually have had some sketches of clothing, etc. designs for some time, and a handbag that is nearing completion:
So that's what I'm up to. And in between, trying to reclaim my life by enjoying my yard, my family and friends and the Creator of it all! Hope you are doing the same.

Miss Amelia is adorable!

these are all so cute! You reminded me I need to finish my quilt using that flights of fancy fabric too. Love that fabric.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing with your readers, Paula! I have really loved working with your fabrics and will definitely have more to come when my Par Avion Spring comes in!
ReplyDeleteYour home & garden looks beautiful too - as does your little helper!
Thanks again!
Anna
Hope you back feels better soon Paula. Your little helper looks darling in her gardening attire. I can tell how lush your yard is looking. Time to sit and smell the roses- and sip a mojito while you are at it!
ReplyDeleteLoving all those pretties! Especially that little Amelia! We're up to our knees in weeds over here too! What's up with that?
ReplyDeleteShe is such a cutie pie! And a big helper, too. Love seeing what all you've been up to lately. Look for an email from me next week after I recover from sewing camp! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI have been so busy lately. I just wanted to say hi and tell you that I love your new line and your booth looked great at the fabric show. Sorry I didn't see you there. Oh! Love your new banner too.
ReplyDeleteCute stuff! I'm actually doing a complete bedroom re-do for my 2 1/2 year old, now that her nursery will be needed by baby #3. I completely let her pick the fabric line for her bedding/window treatments/accessories...etc. I totally thought she would pick something pink and juvenile, but she picked your Flights of Fancy in the Ocean color-way. The girl has good taste! I can't wait to send pictures when it's finished.
ReplyDeleteThank you for designing such beautiful fabrics to work with!
Paula- Thank you so much for stopping by my Blog and leaving such an encouraging comment! I have sen for 30 years and made everything under the sun- except large bed size quilts! I am having so much fun and finding it easier than I imagined with the Old Red Barn Quilt a long! I love your fabric and will be buying more to make a few matching shams and a handbag or two. Good luck on the next line and have a wonderful summer playing in the yard with that little cutie. Glad your back is feeling better- I like to sew flowers better than weed them! I'm going to go join the Flickr Group for your fabrics and hope to have a finished quilt to go in there soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you!

Hello from Sweden! I was lucky to come to your blogg from someone, somewhere. And I am amazed by your fabrics, patterns and all projects! Can't stop looking and scrolling. I have got a hint of quilting, made some minor projects. I belive interest for quilting is increasing here in Sweden. Unfortunately, I am not so patience, I want to make the projects finished fast, and the result is not allways to my satisfaction. I can see I need to become more bold in chosing and mixing colors, like your wonderful projects! I have a blogg too, but it is only in Swedish! Coming back to you soon! Thank you, Ingegerd
